Pick up - 4/26

Today we collected 163.3 pounds of kitchen scraps which is a new record when considering that this included no pumpkins or other heavy produce! This is and extreme amount and we could not thank everyone enough. One of our compost piles has nearly composted all the way down so we are expecting some usable compost in the near future! The amount of compost we collected today filled our second pile but hopefully throughout the week it will drop one or two feet. Either way, we intend on adding next weeks load to our third pile! Soon enough, we may have to add a fourth pile! This week, we aerated the piles, so hopefully the process will speed up a bit.
