Pick up 03/01

Today we had a wonderful pickup and collected 120 pounds of kitchen scraps - that's about the weight of an average 8th grader! This is one of our highest weeks to date, which is great since it was not a holiday week or a special collection like the pumpkin pickup. The addition of newspapers has been a huge help and will significantly improve our compost. However, a shredder would be of great use and we would like to acquire one to chop the papers more finely. Today, we started a third pile and our second pile has hit 120 degrees! Thanks for all your help!
